How Much Does an AI Ad Video Cost? Real 2026 Pricing
The short answer: anywhere from €240 for a single creative design asset to several thousand euros for a full campaign — depending on exactly what's produced and how many variants you need. The longer answer explains why the range is so wide, what a serious quote should include, and what to look for when choosing a provider.
What is an AI ad video, exactly?
An AI ad video is a short advertising creative — usually 8 to 30 seconds — whose footage is generated wholly or partly with AI models instead of a traditional camera shoot. Environments, models, lighting and motion are produced digitally, but the creative work behind it — concept, art direction, editing, sound design — remains human direction. The difference between a convincing AI video and one that instantly reads as AI-generated almost never comes down to the technology. It comes down to that direction.
For paid social (Meta Ads, TikTok, Instagram Reels), the format has caught on mainly because effective performance marketing requires testing many creative variants at once — and traditional shoots are simply too slow and too expensive to keep up.
2026 pricing: three realistic tiers
Most providers quote vague ranges disconnected from any specific deliverable. Here's the actual structure we use at Artem Studios — transparent line items, not a rough guess:
- Single ad creative (8-15 sec., one concept): starting at €590
- Set of 3 hook variants of the same concept (standard for performance testing): €1,200-1,800
- Full campaign production (concept, multiple formats, UGC, product visuals): starting at €2,400
- Ongoing monthly creative partnership (continuous production): starting at €1,490/month
For comparison: a comparable traditional shoot with a model, location, camera crew and post-production often runs €2,000-10,000 for a single 15-second creative, depending on location, talent fees and post-production. AI-assisted production typically comes in 60-90% below that, at comparable visual quality, when the art direction holds up.
What should be included — and what's often missing
A serious AI ad video quote should cover more than just the generated clip itself. That typically means: concept development and storyboarding, the AI-assisted production itself, editing and sound design, and at least one revision round.
What cheaper quotes often leave out or bill separately: additional revision rounds beyond the first, adaptations for different aspect ratios (9:16 for Reels, 1:1 for feed, 16:9 for YouTube), licensing for voices or AI models beyond a short usage window, and multilingual versions. Ask about these explicitly before comparing quotes — otherwise you're comparing different scopes of work, not different prices.
AI ad video vs. traditional production: the real comparison
The cost advantage is real, but it isn't the only factor. Traditional production still wins for brands built around a specific, real face or brand ambassador, for physical product qualities that are hard to replicate (complex fabric movement, for instance), and for campaigns aiming for documentary-style authenticity.
AI production wins when speed matters (2-5 business days instead of 6-12 weeks), when you need many variants for testing, or when the budget for a traditional shoot simply isn't there and visual quality still can't suffer.
What to look for when choosing a provider
Four questions worth asking before you commit:
- Does the provider show real, finished production work — or only concept renders and stock examples?
- Who's actually doing the art direction — someone with real experience in your category, or is a prompt just being typed in?
- How many revision rounds are included, and what does an extra round cost?
- How transparent is the pricing — a rough estimate, or itemized line items you can actually follow?
A note on labeling requirements
Under the EU AI Act, labeling requirements for AI-generated content start taking effect in several areas from August 2026 onward. A serious provider should proactively flag which labeling applies to your campaign rather than ignore the topic. When in doubt, a quick check with your own legal counsel before a campaign goes live is worth it — we're not a law firm and can't give you a binding answer here.
FAQ
Is an AI ad video right for every brand?
Not automatically. It works best for brands that regularly test and rotate paid social creative — less well for one-off prestige campaigns built around a specific real face.
How fast is an AI ad video ready?
Typically 2-5 business days per creative with us, depending on complexity and revision rounds — versus 6-12 weeks for traditional production including planning, the shoot itself, and post.
Can I use an existing product photo as a starting point?
Yes — that's actually the most common starting point. An existing product or studio photo works well as the base for AI-generated environments, models and motion.
